Our firm specializes in designing, producing and installing thematic environments for retail and entertainment complexes. As principal of my company for the past twenty years, I have been conceptual designer on a variety of projects for clients such as George Lucas, Disney, Pixar, and Fry’s Electronics, for whom I have designed and produced over thirty 150,000 square foot themed retail stores. Our most recently completed design themes include the Lost City of Atlantis in San Diego, International Space Station in Houston and Casino Slot Machine in Las Vegas. We are currently designing a 150,000 square foot store from the ground up in Phoenix in the style of the Pima and Maricopa Indians, conceptualizing a research and conference center in San Jose in the Alhambra style, and creating a Pirates of the Caribbean tropical paradise on a private island in the Bahamas. Our expertise includes everything from conceptual design, furnishings and finish specifications, custom product display, lighting, signage, etc., to establishing project budget, selection and supervision of special effects subcontractors, art direction and project management. We have cultivated a network of highly skilled studios that do extraordinary work, and we have a reputation for timely service and quality. My experience in architecture and interior design, combined with a background as Lucasfilm’s conceptual designer, manager of the Skywalker Art Studio, and special effects artist at Industrial Light and Magic, has evolved into a unique ability to create highly original concepts and turn them into a practical reality.
